As a loyal alexanderwang customer, I was honored to be invited to the first anniversary of alexanderwang's flagship store opening in Toronto.
There was an exclusive customized diamond stamping event, as well as Toronto specials, light bites and more.
Thinking back, the first time I wore alexanderwang was a black velvet logo suit, probably around 2019.
I traveled to NYC soho in November '23 and visited alexanderwang's HQ for the first time and heard about the upcoming alexanderwang Toronto. then visited the Toronto store for the first time the following year.

I am a big fan of Alexander Wang's avant-garde design philosophy, which blends modern aesthetics with bold, edgy styles that challenge traditional fashion norms. His play with structure and form makes his work unique in the contemporary fashion world, Wang's work often features unexpected silhouettes and innovative fabric choices that not only express individuality but also allow the wearer to interact with the garment on a deeper level. The way he juxtaposes different textures and colors is truly inspiring and reflects his keen understanding of how fashion can be both wearable and artistic.
Another special feature that drew me in was the design of his store, which is as much a part of the experience as the clothes themselves. The silver-colored wall is crafted with smooth lines to create a striking visual that draws customers in and sets the tone for the entire shopping experience. The wall is not only a backdrop but also a dynamic element that reflects light and creates layers in the space. In the center is a long booth that runs the length of the store, providing a unique focal point that encourages interaction and exploration. More than just functional, this booth enhances the overall shopping experience by allowing customers to pause, reflect and engage with the products in a more intimate way.

Also unique is the fitting room, which was designed to elevate the mundane act of trying on clothing into a luxurious and unique experience. The brightly colored red carpet adds luxury and contrasts with the modern elements of the store. Mirrors surround the fitting area, creating an immersive environment where customers can see themselves from multiple angles while trying on different garments. This thoughtful design not only enhances the fitting experience, but also encourages self-expression and confidence. I love taking photos here, capturing not only the clothes, but the whole atmosphere of Wang's designs. Each snapshot reflects the artistry of his designs and the space in which they are displayed.
(I believe these are only 1/10 of my photos in the fitting room XD)
At the end, I'd like to thank my lovely sales for booking my fitting room before I came each time and picking up lots of cute outfits that were new for the season! love you!
